I will write a professional promo script for web, radio, or TV

Each content category has different viewing statistics, i.e. educational, viral, crowdfunding, etc. For promo videos, most viewers stop watching after 90 seconds. The "sweet spot" is 60 seconds. If you are purposeful about your script, you'll do it under 90 seconds, retain visitors, and save money.

A "hard stop" would be typical of a radio or TV commercial where the production needs to end EXACTLY at a certain point, i.e. 30 or 60 seconds. The script writer would need to know this in advance. Most of the scripts are for the web, and generally don't have exact time requirements.

I base the word count largely on my own "casual speaking rate" for videos and voiceovers which is 2.7 words per second. The average is 3 words per second so I've rounded up a little. If you want me to write script that is faster or slower than a conversational rate, please let me know in advance.

Most rely on their word processors to determine word count. The problem is that URLS and phone numbers read as multiple words. This is a problem for TV & Radio scripts when trying to calculate anticipated durations. As such, just expect that your word counts might appear to be less for such videos.
