Find ‘Professions’ under ‘My Business’ tab, and click 'Add profession'.

Select relevant professions and fill in required details.

*You'll be able to choose from a select list of professions you're eligible for.

Customers will now be able to find your profession listing in the new catalog.

Will clients still see Gigs and the Gig catalog?

Yes, clients will still see Gigs and the Gig catalog. The professions-based experience is designed to complement the existing Gig catalog, not replace it. Once the catalog is live to clients, they can choose to search for Gigs or look for professionals based on their roles and skills using the new professions-based catalog. This provides more options and flexibility for both clients and freelancers.

Will this new professions-based experience replace Gigs?

No, the professions-based experience is not intended to replace Gigs, rather to address the volume of searches for skills. Clients who search for specific services, will be directed to the Gig catalog, while clients who prefer to search for skills will be directed to the professions catalog. We are offering two different ways for users to search. The goal is to provide improved matching for clients seeking professional expertise, and to ensure that you, as a freelancer, are visible in those searches.

How does the profession-based experience work for agencies?

How does the professions-based experience work for Pro freelancers?

As a Pro freelancer, you may be eligible to create professions in the new catalog, showcasing your high level of expertise and professional skills. Same as in the Gig catalog, your Pro status will be highlighted in Professions you’re a Pro at, making it easier for clients to identify and select you for their projects. The professions-based experience is designed to complement your Pro services, offering you additional visibility and opportunities to match with clients looking for top-tier professionals.
