FAQ
What types of manuscripts do you edit?
I work with fiction, nonfiction, memoirs, self-help, and creative nonfiction. My specialty is improving story structure, plot development, and overall readability while preserving your unique voice and style.
What is included in the manuscript critique?
You will receive detailed feedback on story structure, pacing, character development, plot consistency, dialogue, and overall impact. I highlight strengths, identify weaknesses, and provide clear suggestions for improvement.
Do you rewrite my story for me?
No. As a professional novel editor, my role is to refine and strengthen your manuscript—not replace your voice. I guide you with edits and suggestions so the final book still sounds like you.
Can you help with plot development issues?
Yes. I analyze plot holes, weak conflicts, unclear motivations, and pacing problems. I then suggest practical solutions to make your storyline engaging and logical.
Do you work with first-time authors?
Absolutely. I enjoy guiding new writers through the editing process and explaining every step so you grow confident in your storytelling skills.
Will my manuscript remain confidential?
Yes. Your work is 100% private and secure. I never share, reuse, or distribute any part of your manuscript.
Do you provide formatting for publishing?
Yes. I offer professional formatting for Amazon KDP, Kindle, and print-ready layouts to ensure your book meets publishing standards.
What if my manuscript is unfinished?
That’s fine. I can review incomplete drafts, outline story structure, and help you plan plot development to finish your book with confidence.
How do I know which service I need?
Send me a message with a sample of your manuscript. I’ll recommend whether you need manuscript critique, developmental editing, or full novel editing.
What do you need to get started?
I need your manuscript file (Word preferred), your target audience, genre, and any concerns you have about story structure or plot development.
