Full-stack Web Developer
Walk in Hong Kong • Freelance
Jul 2025 - Present • 1 yr 4 mos
I'm the sole full-stack web developer for the website revamp of Walk in Hong Kong starting Aug 2025. The new site has been launched in Feb 2026, and I've been maintaining the site until now. I collaborated with an experienced web designer and implemented custom Figma designs into the production-ready and fully-responsive website for WIHK. I've chosen to use Preact for interactive galleries on the frontend as it is very fast and lightweight. Combined with Wordpress REST APIs, I delivered a smooth and unique browsing experience that helps revitalize and modernize the brand's online presence.
Designer & Developer

I was tasked to design and develop product pages for a Canadian brewery’s rebrand showcase, combining motion design, 3D, and creative web design. Each page opens on a Three.js beer can — a real model wrapped in that beer’s label, lit with studio lighting, and set with a cinematic entry from above, followed by staggered slide-in animations for the hero copy. I've also designed an interactive 3D helix of the core flavours of the brand in a CTA section.
Software Engineer
Hong Kong Free Press News Feed • Temps plein
Mar 2019 - Apr 2024 • 5 yrs 1 mo
I was the full-stack software engineer for building the online funding platform and the mobile app for Hong Kong Free Press. I built custom payment integrations via PayPal and Stripe that support both arbitrary one-time donations or monthly subscriptions within the Python Django web framework. I also designed custom migration scripts to help migrate the old donation system from the WordPress "Give" plugin to the new donation system in Python Django. It was a challenging migration process as we need to ensure the payment records that are migrated to the new system are still in sync and work seamlessly with the remote records in PayPal and Stripe. For the news app, I used Capacitor.js and WordPress REST APIs to build both Android and iOS apps under one unified language which is Javascript. The app was built with smooth UX in mind; smart caching helps maintain a smooth reading experience even when the user device's network gone offline or become unstable in areas with weak signals.
