I am a core engineer at John Snow Labs, where I contribute to Spark NLP — one of the most widely adopted enterprise-grade natural language processing libraries in the industry. In this role, I focus on expanding the library's capabilities and ensuring it remains reliable, performant, and accessible for developers worldwide. A significant part of my work involves integrating cutting-edge inference backends, enabling the library to run faster and more efficiently across a broader range of hardware environments. I also build and ship new annotators that extend what practitioners can do out of the box — from zero-shot classification to advanced transformer-based pipelines — while ensuring that every feature is consistently available and correctly documented across both Python and Scala interfaces. Beyond feature development, I take ownership of the overall developer experience: maintaining accurate model documentation, curating the Models Hub so that pretrained pipelines are easy to discover and use, and patching issues that could silently break production workflows. I am also involved in the release process itself, contributing to versioned deployments that reach thousands of users through PyPI and Maven Central. At its core, my role is about making state-of-the-art NLP technology more powerful, more dependable, and easier for engineers everywhere to put into practice.
