Design mechanical systems for underwater operations, engineered lifting, and marine intervention tooling, covering the full engineering lifecycle from concept to built to print documentation so every deliverable is manufacturable, structurally reliable, and safe to operate. What I do in this role Develop 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings; design welded structures and sheet‑metal assemblies with DFM/DFA criteria. Manage BOMs and ECNs, ensuring clean revisions and traceable releases for fabrication and operations. Run FEA checks (static/structural) on frames, padeyes, and subsea tooling; define factors of safety and acceptance criteria. Produce engineered lifting plans (rigging geometry, padeyes, shackles, chain falls) for safe subsea‑to‑deck handling; align procedures with HSE requirements. Design and document underwater equipment and support tooling: modular cofferdams, thruster cradles and housings, habitats, diver‑training structures, manbaskets, sledges, cutting assemblies, workshop tools, storage/access equipment, and weld‑certification drawing packs. Streamline engineering output with iLogic and Vault to standardize PDFs, DXF 1:1 exports, and complete documentation packages.
