Do I really not need a Mac Mini? Everyone says I do.
Correct, you do not need one! While the creator uses a Mac Mini, Moltbot is built on open-source technologies (Node.js/Docker) that run perfectly on Linux servers in the cloud.
Can the bot still "browse the web" on a server without a screen?
Yes. I configure the bot to use "headless" browsers. It can still navigate websites, read data, and fill out forms just like it does on a desktop, it just does it in the background code.
How much will AWS cost me per month?
It depends on usage, but for a standard Moltbot setup, you can often use the AWS "Free Tier" (t2.micro or t3.micro) for the first 12 months. After that, it is typically around $10-$15/month—much cheaper than buying a computer.
Can I use this for trading automation?
Absolutely. An AWS VPS is actually better for trading because it has lower latency (ping) to exchange servers than your home internet connection.
What if I don't have an AWS account?
No problem! I can guide you through the account creation process via a Zoom call or provide a PDF guide (Gig Extra).
