She is a presidential scholar of the arts, a TEDx Speaker, a scholastic gold medalist, a Young Arts winner in spoken word, a Princeton Prize in Race Relations recipient, and a Lin Arison Excellence in Writing award winner. She has publications in the New York Times, Rattle, and Washington Post. she has performed her poetry on CNN and CBS, Her Book Walking Gentry Home was released in 2022.
