I handle the full billing process for a healthcare practice, from checking a patient's insurance before their visit all the way through making sure the practice actually gets paid. My day-to-day includes verifying insurance coverage, coding and submitting claims (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS), and following up when claims get denied or delayed. I dig into why a claim was rejected, fix the issue, and resend it so the practice doesn't lose out on revenue. I also keep track of unpaid claims and stay on top of them until they're resolved. When payments come in, I post them accurately and make sure the numbers match up so there are no surprises later. I also work directly with patients, providers, and insurance companies to sort out any billing questions or confusion. I take patient privacy seriously and follow HIPAA rules closely in everything I do. My goal is simple: keep the billing process accurate and moving so the practice gets paid on time and can focus on patient care instead of paperwork.
