I design 2-layer and 4-layer boards in KiCad, from schematic capture to manufacturing-ready files. I also integrate PCBs with mechanical designs using CAD to ensure a perfect fit. During my internship, I contribute to the development of electronic hardware for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) systems. My responsibilities include designing custom PCBs in KiCad, creating schematics, developing 2-layer and multilayer layouts, and preparing manufacturing documentation such as Gerber files, BOMs and assembly data. I also support the mechanical integration of the boards within the final system and assist in prototype assembly, hardware validation and laboratory testing. To verify the hardware, I develop and modify embedded C code and work with AMD Xilinx Vitis to bring up the boards, configure peripherals and validate their functionality. Throughout every project, I place strong emphasis on clear documentation, maintainable designs and close collaboration with the engineering team to ensure reliable and reproducible hardware.
