Most Pine Script strategies look good on the chart they were built on. That's the problem.
Optimised on one instrument with no commission or slippage it looks clean. Put it live and it falls apart. The strategy wasn't wrong. The testing was.
Every test uses identical parameters: ATR exits, 1% equity risk, realistic commission, same capital base. Markets: XAUUSD, GBPUSD, EURUSD, BTCUSDT, NAS100. When exits are standardised, you see the real edge not a flattering version of it.
