Audit Intern

KPMG • Temps partiel

Jul 2025 - Aug 20251 mo

During my six week internship with KPMG Pakistan in the Audit Department, I had the opportunity to work on the audit engagements of SICPA Pakistan and Dalda Foods Limited. My work primarily involved supporting the audit team in key financial statement areas and performing substantive procedures in accordance with the firm’s audit methodology. I was involved in the testing of legal and professional expenses, where I performed complete vouching of supporting documents such as invoices, agreements, and authorization records to ensure proper classification and occurrence. I also assisted in payroll testing, where employee salaries and related entries were verified through SAP and reconciled with the general ledger to ensure accuracy and proper recording. A significant portion of my work was related to fixed assets and depreciation, where I reconciled balances with the Fixed Asset Register, reviewed supporting documentation for additions and disposals including purchase orders, GRNs, invoices, and payment records, and assisted in reviewing depreciation workings to ensure alignment with the client’s accounting policies. In addition, I supported the audit team in reviewing financial statement disclosures, where prior year disclosures were rolled forward and compared with the current year financial statements to ensure completeness and compliance with applicable reporting standards. Through this experience, I gained practical exposure to the audit process, documentation standards, and the application of substantive testing procedures across different financial statement areas.

Institutional Business Intern

Getz Pharma • Temps partiel

Jul 2024 - Aug 20241 mo

During my internship at Getz Pharma, I worked within the Institutional and International Business Departments, where I contributed to data analysis, financial evaluation, and operational improvements across key international markets, particularly in the MENA region. A major highlight of my internship was identifying the need for a more structured approach to customer evaluation and credit management. To address this gap, I designed and implemented a Credit Score Rating System supported by an automated analytical dashboard. The system combined financial indicators such as credit history and sales volume with non-financial indicators including customer relevance and future business potential. By integrating these variables into a comprehensive scoring model, I created a structured framework that allowed the team to classify customers based on risk and strategic importance. To improve usability and efficiency, I automated the model and developed a dashboard that enabled the team to evaluate and grade over 350 customers instantly with a single click. This dashboard provided a clear overview of customer classifications, enabling faster decision making regarding credit limits, customer prioritization, and tailored action plans. As a result, the system helped streamline internal approval processes and supported improved cash flow monitoring and customer management. The initiative was well received by senior leadership and is now considered a valuable decision-support tool. Beyond this project, I also contributed to several key operational and analytical tasks: • Financial reconciliation: Reconciled debit notes for Iraq and other MENA markets to ensure accuracy and transparency in expense records. • Sales analysis and forecasting: Conducted comparative analysis of actual versus forecasted sales across international markets, generating insights to support strategic planning. • Budget planning: Assisted in preparing budget workings for the 2023–2024 financial year, gai

Customer Relations Lead

Toyota USA • Temps partiel

Jun 2022 - Aug 20222 mos

During my time at Toyota Pakistan, I worked in a customer relations role focused on enhancing client experience and strengthening service delivery across customer touchpoints. A key part of my work involved designing and delivering training programs for customer-facing teams to improve communication, service quality, and client handling skills. These training sessions helped strengthen frontline interactions with customers and contributed to a 30 percent increase in client satisfaction scores within three months, based on post-interaction customer feedback surveys. In addition to training initiatives, I acted as a central coordination point between multiple departments, ensuring smooth communication and consistent engagement with clients. This role required close collaboration with sales, service, and operational teams to address customer concerns efficiently and maintain a high standard of service delivery. Overall, this experience provided valuable exposure to customer relationship management, service quality improvement, and cross-functional coordination within a large automotive organization, strengthening my ability to manage client interactions and improve customer satisfaction outcomes.
