Hi! I'm Xian Su, a native Mandarin speaker from China . I help beginners and intermediate learners build real speaking confidence whether you're prepping for HSK, planning a trip to China, or just want to watch dramas without subtitles.
What we can work on:
Conversational Chinese tones, pinyin, daily dialogues (ordering food, Didi, making friends)
HSK 16 prep vocab strategies, grammar patterns, past paper walkthroughs
Survival Chinese if you're visiting China and need the "don't get lost" toolkit
Character breakdown radicals, stroke order, how to stop mixing up 马 and 鸟
How a lesson goes:
- Quick warm-up chat in Chinese (level-permitting)
- Target topic of the day we use slides + real-life materials (menus, screenshots, short videos)
- You speak, I correct gently no judgment when tones slip
- After class: PDF notes + recording so you can review
Lessons on Zoom (Tencent Meeting / Google Meet also fine).

Absolutely. Most of my students start at zero — we'll begin with tones and nǐ hǎo if needed.

Is this a templated course?
Not at all — every lesson is adjusted to what you want to cover that day. And yes, we can speak Chinese the whole time if you're game; I'll correct your pronunciation as we go (gently, promise 😊).
