I will help with physics comprehension and study skills

Physics and math is mostly cumulative. If you have gaps in your understanding, then you can't understand future material. Eventually, what the teacher is doing on the board is not different from magic. Our monkey brains start to rely on pattern recognition rather than an understanding of principles.

When I first became a teacher I thought I was doing everything perfectly. Students would come to my office and I would give them just the perfect explanation of an example. While that worked for some, I was perplexed why some weren't getting it. I experimented with an oral exam one year. I remember one saying after failing, "I didn't know how much I didn't know."

I will ask questions to figure out what you don't know so we can fill in the gaps in knowledge and/or understanding. This would be useful at the first signs of struggling in high school or university physics, or before a test, or maybe weekly to ensure thorough understanding of important concepts. The concept of thinking about what you know and don't (metacognition) can be self-implemented and physics becomes easier without gaps in knowledge, so my hope is after a couple of sessions my services won't be needed anymore.
