I began my career in graphic design in May 2001, working within the publishing and print industries internationally. I was first based in Belgium, then France, and now the UK. My early work focused on greeting cards, stationery products, typesetting, photo editing, and high-quality scan production, where I developed a strong technical foundation in colour, typography, and print accuracy. I worked with an Imacon slide scanner and specialised for a period in high-end image scanning and editing and colour correction. Over time, my role evolved toward book and editorial design, collaborating closely with publishers on layout, typesetting, image preparation, and production-ready files. Working across different markets and languages sharpened my understanding of publishing standards, workflows, and reader expectations, while also giving me a deep understanding of print production, technical performance, and finishing processes. Today, that experience informs my specialised focus on all types of books — combining traditional offset print knowledge with modern digital print-on-demand production.
