I am a professional editor and proofreader. I have over five years experience editing self-help books. I understand how important it is to retain your unique voice and style of writing. As your editor I will focus on eliminating errors, strengthening the tone and readability of your book. My job is to simplify the editing process and to assist you to a well edited book ready to be published.

How Does Your Gig Work?
Please message me first before ordering this Gig, attaching your full manuscript in Microsoft Word. I will review your manuscript and provide a price along with an estimated time duration for your project. If you are happy with the quote, I will send a custom offer and schedule your slot.
Do You Have Time For My Order?
I schedule all my orders, and you will know exactly when your order will commence and finish. Please note, with unlimited revisions, you receive all unlimited revisions for the time period of your project. Message me now and I will have a date for when your project will be completed.
Will You Sign an NDA?
I commit to all my customers that I will never share any information about their book to a third party, not even in a portfolio or sample. I will not distribute your work in part or in its entirety. This FAQ is my NDA for your work.
Do You Show Your Work/Use Track Changes?
I use Microsoft Word to edit your manuscript. Track Changes will be identified in the document. You can approve or deny any changes as you wish. I use the Comment feature in Word to make any comments or suggestions for you to consider.
Do You Do the Work Yourself?
Yes, I do all the work myself. I read every single word. I do a light read at first to get a general idea of the book and the style of writing. The next stage, I do a thorough grammar and spell check, consistency, tone, sentence structure and any repetitions or missing words.
What Type of Books Do You Take?
I work with non-fiction/fiction, self-help, Christian, wellness and health books. I do not take academic, sci-fi or horror books. The best way to identify if I am a good fit for your book is to message me and ask me any questions that you may have. It's my pleasure to help you!
What Type of Services Do You Provide?
The main services are copy editing and proofreading. If you have any questions regarding your project please contact me, and I will be happy to assist you.
What is Your Editing Style?
As an editor, my goal is to maintain the integrity of your unique writing voice and style as much as possible. With that in mind, I only change wording that is vague or incorrect, so that your project is professionally polished.
Book Formatting
I will format your book in Garamond or Times New Roman 12 pt. font. Book formatting will not include additional design elements or book cover creation. The final document will be in Microsoft Word.
Additional Word Count Options
If you have more words than listed in this Gig, please contact me directly. I will review your manuscript and assess the turnaround time to proofread and edit the manuscript. I will send a customized Gig with the time extension, which you must agree to in order to commence work.
