Do you format novels for Amazon KDP?
Yes. I format novels and novellas in any fiction genre for Kindle and paperback on Amazon KDP, including romance, fantasy, mystery, thriller, sci-fi and young adult.
Is one order for both Kindle and paperback?
Basic covers the Kindle and EPUB ebook only. Standard and Premium include the ebook plus a print-ready paperback PDF. Choose Standard or Premium if you need both.
What files do I need to send?
Your final, edited manuscript as a Word (.docx) file, your front and back matter text, and any images in high resolution. For print, also tell me your trim size.
Which trim size should I choose for my novel?
Common novel sizes are 5x8, 5.5x8.5 and 6x9 inches. If you’re not sure, tell me your genre and page count and I’ll recommend one.
What files will I receive?
For ebooks: Kindle-ready KPF, EPUB and MOBI files. For paperback: a print-ready PDF. What you get depends on your package.
Do you design book covers?
No, this gig covers interior formatting only. KDP needs a finished cover to publish a paperback, which you can upload yourself.
What if my novel is longer than my package?
Add the extra pages option ($10 per 50 pages) or choose a higher package. Message me your page count first and I’ll tell you the best fit.
Do you do chapter headings, drop caps and scene breaks?
Clean chapter headings and scene breaks come with every package. Drop caps and decorative chapter openers come with Premium, or as the Chapter styling extra.
Will KDP accept my formatted book?
I format to Amazon KDP guidelines. If KDP rejects a file for a formatting reason, send me the message and I’ll fix it within your included revisions.
Do you edit or proofread my novel?
No, this gig is formatting only, so please send a final, edited manuscript. I’ll point out any obvious typos I notice while formatting.
