Designed a 2-layer PCB in KiCad for an IoT-based monitoring system utilizing an ESP32 microcontroller, environmental sensors, voltage regulation circuits, and communication interfaces. Created complete schematics, performed component selection, optimized PCB layout, and routed signal and power traces while maintaining EMI and manufacturing considerations. Generated Gerber files, BOM, and pick-and-place files for production. Conducted design rule checks (DRC) and verified manufacturability to ensure reliable performance and cost-effective fabrication. The project improved system integration, reduced wiring complexity, and provided a compact, production-ready hardware solution.
