I'm based in China and my Chinese teaching approach is quite flexible depending on your specific demand and current level. I have instructed Mandarin Chinese for school students as well as corporate adult students from all over the world. Students' Mandarin level range from very beginner to advanced. The subjects I've been tutoring contain HSK, conversational Chinese, financial Chinese, business Chinese etc.
Usually I have two approaches, one is that I customize the course for the learner. The other is that I adopt textbook to instruct.
