I am a qualified translator and a scholar and practitioner of the Irish Gaelic poetry and song traditions ("sean-nós") which date back hundreds of years, incorporating (among other areas) love songs, work songs, religious songs, comic songs, blessings, curses, healing charms and mourning chants (keening).
