I finished a PhD in Experimental Particle Physics in 2021 before realizing that all the top paying careers are in the Financial Services industry and that my PhD had not prepared me well for this industry.

I dedicated my spare time to learning the most important Computer Science fundamentals, with the objective of obtaining a Quant Developer role.

I advanced rapidly in my career, moving from a large engineering company to Fintech and now to a Hedge Fund. I was able to make these fast career moves and increase my salary dramatically by targeting key subject areas, learning critical skills, and investing in my personal career development.
