As a student worker at The LEGO Group, I have primarily been part of a Platform Engineering team, but with the opportunity to explore different areas to discover my interests. The projects I found most exciting were Databricks projects, where I developed and maintained data products using Asset Bundles and created a Databricks App. Secondly, when I have been involved in exploring the use of AI agents and MCP, as well as implementing monitoring through Langfuse to improve insight and stability. I have also worked on tasks where I used Bash, Terraform, Docker, and GitHub Actions to streamline processes. Furthermore, I gained experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Kubernetes and developed a deeper understanding of how infrastructure, data, and system architecture are connected in a modern data organization. I truly value this understanding, as it has given me insight into the entire data workflow, making it easier for me to collaborate effectively across different technical disciplines. In my first role, I mainly learned how to be part of a large organization and what agile methodologies mean in practice. I also contributed to data analysis and structuring, for example by developing a heatmap that provided new perspectives on internal data patterns. Additionally, I worked with datasets related to sustainable materials, helping improve data accessibility and usability. Throughout my years at LEGO, I have strengthened both my technical and collaborative skills and gained valuable insight into how data can be turned into real business value. I thrive in interdisciplinary environments where I can combine curiosity, technical understanding, and teamwork to create solutions that make a difference.
