Kia ora! I'm Isla, a brand and graphic designer from New Zealand, now based in Bristol. I've designed for agencies, in-house teams and small businesses, from brand refreshes for construction companies to restaurant menus guests actually take home. I specialise in brand identity, print and hospitality design, and I love helping small businesses look as good as they are. Graphic designer in a three-person marketing team at a hospitality group, leading design across four Bristol venues: Racks Bar & Kitchen, The Square Club, No.4 Clifton Village and Pizza on the Park. I design menus, signage, A-boards and promotional materials, and pitch creative concepts for seasonal campaigns like Christmas and NYE. I also produce wayfinding, signage and print advertising for HowTheLightGetsIn Festival in Hay-on-Wye and London, wireframe event pages in Adobe XD and manage a fast-paced workload across multiple venues at once.

Led a brand refresh for a New Zealand residential building company. I developed the initial logo concepts, which a PR agency took forward into the final mark, I then built out the full brand identity from there. This included an 8-page brand guide and a suite of Canva social templates so the owner could create on-brand content independently. I also designed a lookbook-style lead generation booklet, ran and reported on the paid Instagram campaigns that promoted it, and managed day-to-day social content and email marketing through Mailchimp. I still support Highmark on an ad hoc basis.

Worked in a four-person design team at a full-service marketing agency, delivering 100+ projects for 50+ local and national clients across branding, events and campaigns. I designed logos, signage, social content and print materials from concept to final artwork, working from client briefs with the Creative Director and refining through feedback rounds. I also managed print production end to end, including prepress, proofing and sample checks, and shot and edited product photography for campaigns.
