Selected for Google Summer of Code 2026 to contribute to the DBpedia Databus Python Client, an open-source command-line tool and Python library for working with RDF knowledge graph datasets. My work focused on extending the client with reproducible, manifest-driven workflows and improving its data conversion capabilities. Key contributions: • Refactored format conversion functionality into dedicated handlers for triples, quads, and tabular data, improving separation of concerns and maintainability. • Implemented and tested round-trip format conversions to validate data preservation across supported formats. • Worked on manifest generation and reproducible workflow orchestration to make data processing easier to reproduce and share. • Improved compression handling to preserve or apply the requested output compression during conversions. • Added and refined automated tests to validate conversion behavior and catch regressions. • Collaborated with project mentors through code reviews, feedback, debugging, and iterative improvements to an established open-source codebase. Completed the program with 12 merged pull requests, gaining hands-on experience in Python development, CLI tooling, data processing, testing, and collaborative open-source engineering.
