I'm an oboe player with 15+ years professional experience. My recordings are clean, isolated, accurate, and expressive. My background is in symphonic and classical chamber music: I can read your score or improvise a part. I play all kinds of music and I enjoy collaborating with musicians whose backgrounds are different from my own.
I play oboe, English horn (cor Anglais), and oboe d'amore:
- I will record the part you send me, synchronized with your .mp3 or .wav track.
- I can learn my part from your recording if you don't have it written down.
- I'm also a composer and improviser, and I can improvise a solo for your song or piece.
- Contact me for a custom offer if your project doesn't fit the package lengths, if you'd like multiple tracks or instruments, or if you'd like me to improvise a part.

I'm an oboe player with 10 years experience freelancing with professional ensembles. I play all kinds of music.
When I started freelancing it happened that one of the first groups I played with performed a large number of rock, pop, broadway, and jazz arrangements in their concert series. Although I had not studied these kinds of music I found that I enjoyed playing outside of the repertoire I had studied in school.

Can you learn your part from my audio file instead of music notation?
Yes, please select the "Play By Ear" extra. I'm also a composer and improviser--I can consult with you to create an original melody or solo that matches your vision for your song or piece.
Can you transpose a part in C for English horn or oboe d'amore?
Yes I can. If you are able to transpose the part in your own notation software please do it, as it will save time and keep costs down.
What is the range of an oboe?
Oboe has a range from Bb3 to G6.
What is the range of English horn or oboe d'amore?
These oboe-family instruments have a written range of low B to high F. On English horn in F the sounding range is E3 to Bb5. On oboe d'amore in A the sounding range is G#3 to D5.
What is an oboe d'amore?
Oboe d'amore is the misunderstood middle sibling of the oboe family. It is pitched in A, half way between an oboe and an English horn. The tone is unique and can be hauntingly beautiful but it's under-used in the repertoire.
I only need oboe for part of my song, should I choose a shorter gig package?
Yes, please choose the package appropriate for the length of the oboe recording. Contact me for a custom offer if you need many short clips.
