Do I need my own VPS and domain?
Yes, any Ubuntu 22.04/24.04 VPS with 2 GB+ RAM and a domain or subdomain you can point to it. I can recommend a provider if you don't have one.
How do you get access?
I send you my public SSH key; you add it, and remove it after delivery. No passwords in chat.
Is this the free n8n?
Yes, the self-hosted community edition. You can upgrade later; your workflows stay.
What about updates?
On Standard and Premium you run one command: it backs up first, then updates n8n and restarts it.
