FAQ
Do you use AI for your editing process?
Absolutely not .Every edit is done manually by me (Dorothy). I believe AI lacks the nuance and emotional intelligence required to respect an author's unique voice.
What is the difference between proofreading and copy editing?
Proofreading is the final check for "surface" errors (typos, punctuation, spelling). Copy editing goes deeper into sentence structure, flow, and clarity. My "Expert" packages typically combine both to ensure your book is publication-ready.
Can you work with PDF files?
For the best results, I require a Word document. This allows me to use the "Tracked Changes" feature so you can see every edit I make and choose to accept or reject them.
What happens if I’m not happy with the edit?
Your satisfaction is the priority. I offer [1 or 2] rounds of revisions to ensure the final polish meets your expectations and aligns with your vision.
Is my story safe with you?
100%. I treat every manuscript with strict confidentiality. I am happy to sign an NDA if requested, and I never share or discuss your work with third parties.
