Hi, I'm Effy although I perform under the pseudonym 'The Effigy'. I'm a vocalist and songwriter based in Australia, with over 15 years experience. My music has been featured in publications such as Metal Hammer.

While I excel at writing lyrics for rock, metal, aIternative, I sincerely love writing songs in a range of genres from black metal to house to jazz. I would describe my style as a mix of poetic and rhythmic. I love slant, internal, and repetitive rhythms to create a narrative not only in the content of the lyrics but in the way they are delivered.
