Can I ask questions after I get my feedback?
Yes, please do! Once you read my notes, ask me anything. I am happy to explain what I meant or talk through a scene that still feels tricky.
What is the difference between an alpha reader and a beta reader?
An alpha reader reads your early, rough draft and helps with the big picture. A beta reader reads a finished draft and tells you how the whole story works. I do both, so just tell me where your book is at.
Which genres do you read?
Fiction & nonfiction. I read romance and fantasy the most. I also read other fiction like young adult, mystery, and general fiction. Not sure if I am a good fit? Message me first, and I will tell you honestly.
Will your feedback be harsh?
I am honest, but never rude. I tell you what works, what does not, and why, in a kind and clear way. My goal is to help you grow, not to make you feel bad about your work.
How will I get my feedback?
You get it as a written document in simple words. It covers your plot, characters, and pacing, plus a short list of your top strengths and your top fixes.
Can you read a book that is not finished?
Yes. Send me what you have and tell me it is still a work in progress. I will focus on the big things, like story direction and characters, so you know what to do next.
