I am a Mechanical Product Design and New Product Development Engineer with over 2 years of hands-on industry experience in automotive product design, testing, and validation. Currently working as a Senior Engineer – New Product Development at Roots Industries India Private Limited, I specialize in taking products from early concept stage to production release, ensuring they meet functional, quality, cost, and customer requirements. Key Projects & Contributions 1) Hybrid DC Switch – Caterpillar Designed and developed a Hybrid DC Battery Disconnect Switch used for automatic battery isolation Worked on concept design based on customer packaging constraints Supported prototype development, assembly line setup, and testing facility development Conducted product testing, validation, and pre-launch trial runs 2) USB Charger – Multiple OEMs Designed and developed USB charging devices for commercial vehicles Supported testing and validation as per OEM protocols Contributed to pre-launch trials and customer validation Automotive Product Portfolio: 3) Electrical horns for commercial and industrial vehicles 4) Battery Disconnect Switches and Electronic Battery Disconnect Switches 5) Lighting products and cooling fans (currently under development)
