Helisoa [helly-sou] is a creative fiction writer and fiber artist based in New Jersey. They are a 2021 graduate of The New School in NYC with a BA in literary studies and a double minor in philosophy and religious studies. Much of their creative work features magical realism and the act of recognizing humanity through face to face experiences. For Helisoa, creative fiction serves as more than escapist media, but also as a magnifying glass to understanding absurdities of the real world. Along with this, they are working towards a career in book publishing and editing.
