Are you really a native Japanese speaker?
Yes, I am a native Japanese speaker who was born and raised in Japan.
Is it 100% manual proofreading?
Yes, all are 100% manual proofreading. In my case, it's more inefficient to use AI or something like that.
What are your business days and hours?
Monday through Friday, excluding Japanese holidays. I have a setup that do not undertake work during long holidays. Business hours are from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM and from 10:00 PM to 0:00 AM Japan time (+9 GMT).
Is it possible to proofread in a specialized field?
It depends on the field, but if it is for the general public, it is possible to correspond to almost all fields. If it's a text written for a professional, like medical or financial, there may be someone better suited than me.
Is English to Japanese translation included in the price?
Trancelation charge is not included. However, if you give me permission to specify the content from some machine translations, rewriting and proofreading from the translations are also possible. In this case, please pay the additional charge for the rewrite.
Are you available in languages other than English?
As I wrote in the FAQ "Is English to Japanese translation included in the price?", we use machine translation for translation. With that permission, any language registered with Google or DeepL is possible. *If you have the budget, hire a translator separately.
What file format should my document be in?
Documents in Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx), Microsoft Exel (.xls, xlsx) and Notepad files (.rtf, txt).
About confidentiality rules
All text will be deleted after a two-week retention period. Also, I will not tell or message others about any information that I learn from any gig.
