I work with clients to develop physical products from early-stage ideas into detailed designs that can be prototyped, tested, refined, and manufactured. I start by understanding the purpose of the product, the user requirements, dimensions, materials, components, manufacturing method, and any existing references provided by the client. I then develop the product structure and individual components in CAD, paying attention to proportions, ergonomics, functionality, assembly, clearances, and manufacturing requirements. My work covers consumer products, mechanical products, equipment housings, enclosures, brackets, mounts, custom mechanisms, assemblies, and products that require a combination of mechanical and industrial design. I also help clients improve existing products by modifying components, redesigning problematic areas, preparing parts for 3D printing, and developing practical solutions around manufacturing constraints. I focus on taking a product beyond the initial concept and developing the details required to make the design physically achievable. Depending on the project, I provide organized 3D CAD models, assemblies, STL/STEP files, technical drawings, and prototype ready designs.
