I worked as a Data Operator at the Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA), where my primary responsibility was to support the digitization, management, and verification of land record data within the computerized land record management system. This role required a high level of accuracy, responsibility, and attention to detail because land records are sensitive legal documents related to property ownership. My main duties included entering, updating, and maintaining land ownership records and other property-related information in the digital database. I carefully reviewed physical documents and official records before entering them into the system to ensure that all information was accurate and properly recorded. Data accuracy was extremely important, so I regularly cross-checked records and verified information to avoid errors or inconsistencies. Through this role, I developed strong computer skills, database management abilities, and data accuracy practices. I also improved my typing speed, document management, and ability to handle large volumes of data efficiently while meeting deadlines. My experience at PLRA helped me build a strong foundation in data management, administrative operations, and digital record handling, while contributing to the government’s initiative to modernize and improve the transparency of land record systems.
