A book needs an editor who can improve the page without losing sight of the manuscript around it.
I edit fiction, memoir, and nonfiction written in English, working on clarity, rhythm, dialogue, repetition, precision, and voice. With the Deep Editorial Edit, when enough context is available, I also flag broader patterns in pacing, continuity, POV, character consistency, and scene function.
I do not rewrite simply to make the page look more edited. If something already works, I leave it alone. When an editorial decision is better discussed than silently imposed, I explain it in a comment.
Depending on the package, the work ranges from final proofreading to line editing and deeper editorial feedback.
You will receive a Track Changes file and a clean version.

What is the difference between the three packages?
Final Proofread focuses on language correction. Line Edit works more deeply on clarity, rhythm, dialogue, repetition, precision, and voice. Deep Editorial Edit adds more substantial editorial comments where the material supports them.
Do you edit fiction, memoir, and nonfiction?
Yes. I adjust the editorial focus to the type of manuscript rather than applying the same checklist to every book.
Can you flag problems that only become visible with more context?
Yes. With the Deep Editorial Edit, I can flag broader patterns in pacing, continuity, POV, character voice, repetition, or scene function when the material provided gives enough context.
What happens when an issue is better discussed than directly rewritten?
I leave a comment explaining the problem and the editorial reasoning, so you can make the final decision without losing control of the manuscript.
