I’m a New Zealand-based writer and close reader specialising in memoir, personal narrative and creative nonfiction.
I’m interested in the point where lived experience becomes story: what a piece is really about, where its centre of gravity lies, what may be explained rather than revealed, and what a reader can see when the writer has lived too closely with the material to see it clearly.
I help writers step outside their own pages for a moment and see what is there, without rewriting the work into my voice.
