Providing legal support to Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom required close attention to the risks created by amusement rides, water attractions, large public events, seasonal employment, and thousands of daily guest interactions. I addressed legal matters with a strong understanding of how safety and commercial operations intersect within an entertainment destination. Guest related incidents demanded careful evaluation. I reviewed matters involving ride injuries, water park accidents, slips and falls, lost property, accessibility concerns, ticket disputes, and other claims arising on park grounds. Incident reports, surveillance records, witness accounts, maintenance documentation, and applicable policies were examined when determining potential liability. Behind the attractions, I worked with agreements involving ride manufacturers, maintenance contractors, food vendors, entertainers, event organizers, security providers, and other outside businesses. Contract terms were assessed for insurance requirements, indemnification, performance obligations, safety responsibilities, payment, and allocation of risk. Seasonal operations also produced employment issues involving hiring practices, workplace conduct, scheduling, accommodations, employee injuries, disciplinary matters, and policies affecting a large temporary workforce. I provided guidance when management decisions presented potential employment or regulatory consequences. Ride inspections, operating procedures, emergency protocols, food service requirements, and public safety obligations formed another important part of the legal function. When significant incidents or disputes occurred, I assisted with investigation and response while preserving relevant evidence. My work supported the park in protecting guests, managing claims, maintaining contractual accountability, and addressing legal concerns without unnecessarily disrupting operations.
