Kibbe Body Type is a system developed by David Kibbe in 1980s to categorize body shapes into different types based on bone structure, flesh distribution, and overall proportions. Kibbe identified 10 body types, which he categorized into five main groups:

Dramatic,

Natural,

Classic,

Gamine,

and

Romantic.

Each type has a softer type and a sharper type depending on your Yin/Yang balance which creates a total of 10 Body Types.

Unlike other body typing systems such as fruit shaped, weight and body fat percentages do not determine a person's Kibbe body type; so no matter if you're underweight or overweight your Kibbe type remains same.

Kibbe developed this system to help individuals choose clothing and accessories that flatter their unique proportions. These clothing recommendations are not just trendy, they're timeless. They were applicable in 1980s and will still be applicable years from now.
