I contributed as an Illustrator and Visual Communications Volunteer, creating original artwork to support environmental campaigns, public engagement, and fundraising initiatives for the development of a community-led biodiverse park. My role involved producing clear, engaging visual storytelling materials that communicated the project’s vision, biodiversity goals, and development plans to a broad public audience, including families and young people. I designed digital illustrations and graphics for social media, newsletters, presentations, and promotional content, helping the organisation convey complex environmental concepts in an accessible and appealing way. Working collaboratively with project coordinators and volunteers, I helped develop a consistent visual identity for outreach materials and contributed creative ideas to strengthen community awareness and participation. My illustrations were used across campaigns and stakeholder communications, supporting successful outreach efforts and increasing engagement with the project online and in the community. This role demonstrated my ability to translate detailed information into compelling visuals, deliver high-quality creative work within a collaborative environment, and use illustration as a powerful tool for education and advocacy.
