Do I need separate GST registration for multiple businesses?
If you operate multiple businesses under the same PAN and in the same state, you can use a single GST registration and add different business verticals under it. However, if your businesses are in different states, you must obtain separate GST registrations for each state.
What is TCS in e-commerce, and how does it affect me?
TCS (Tax Collected at Source) is 1% GST deducted by e-commerce platforms on your sales. This amount is deposited in your GST account and can be adjusted in your GST return.
Do I need to file GST returns after registration?
Yes, even if you have no sales, you must file NIL GST returns to avoid penalties. Regular sellers need to file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B monthly or quarterly.
Can I get a GST refund for export services?
Yes, if you sell to international customers, you can apply for an LUT to avoid GST or claim a refund on the GST paid.
