I recently worked with a client who wanted to build a senior care marketplace platform where families can easily find and connect with the right care providers for their loved ones. The Goal The client needed a platform that brings together different types of senior care services in one place, including: -Senior living communities -In-home care services -Medical specialists -Rehabilitation centers -Transportation and support services The main goal was to simplify the process of finding care, so users don’t feel overwhelmed when searching for the right option. The Challenge The biggest challenge was structuring a platform that could: - Handle multiple provider categories - Allow users to quickly find relevant services - Create a guided experience instead of just a basic directory The client also wanted a system where users can answer a few questions and get matched with the most suitable providers. What I Did To bring this idea to life, I: - Built the complete marketplace structure using Sharetribe - Organized all provider types into clear and easy-to-navigate categories - Designed a provider listing system with all necessary details (services, location, contact, etc.) - Created a simple matching flow where users are guided to the most relevant providers based on their needs - Set up filters and search features to improve user experience - Structured the platform to be clean, professional, and easy to use The Result The final result was a fully functional marketplace platform where: - Families can easily find the right senior care services - Providers can showcase their services clearly - The overall experience feels simple, guided, and user-friendly The platform is now ready to launch, attract users, and scale over time.
