That is the problem. Most "500 site blasts" are scraper directories no reader or journalist ever visits, and you get a screenshot.

Will my book actually get press coverage from this?
I guarantee submission and live placements, not journalist coverage. Distribution puts your release where media, retailers and search engines can find it. Whether a reporter writes a story depends on your angle, and I'll tell you honestly if yours
Which sites do you submit to?
Real, indexed press release sites and news aggregators, plus a paid newswire on Standard and Premium for wider syndication. Message me and I'll tell you the current list before you order. I don't count dead directories to inflate the number.
Do I need to write the press release myself?
You can send your own, or add the writing extra and I'll write it from your book details. If you send your own and it isn't newsroom format, I'll reformat it and flag anything that will get it rejected.
. Can I see it before it goes out?
I send the final formatted release for your approval and nothing is submitted until you say go. Once a release is live on multiple sites it can't be recalled, so this step protects both of us.
What counts as a revision?
Changes to the release before submission: headline, wording, details, links. Revisions can't apply after distribution, because live placements can't be edited or pulled back. Approve carefully at that stage.
How do I know the submissions really happened?
You get a report listing every site with the live URL, so you can click each one and see your release. No screenshots, no "submitted to 300 sites" with nothing to check.
Will it appear on Google News or in Google search?
Some placements get indexed and some don't, and no seller controls that. Standard and Premium use a paid newswire that improves the odds, and SEO keywords help your release rank for your book title.
How long do the placements stay live?
Most stay up indefinitely, which is why this also works as long-term search presence for your author name and book title. A few free sites prune old posts. Paid newswire placements are the most durable.
