À propos de ce service
If you've finished a draft or manuscript and you're close to publishing, a beta read is where you find out how it actually lands.
With a BSC in Literature and Creative Writing and a top-selling published novel, I approach beta reading as both a writer and a critical reader. Im not here to rewrite your work or give vague encouragement, Ill give you clear feedback on what's engaging, what's unclear, and what might be holding the piece back.
What I look at:
- Plot and structure, does the story actually move
- Character depth and consistency
- Pacing, where it drags or rushes
- Tone and voice
- Clarity of ideas (especially for non-fiction)
Genres & formats:
Im open to all formats, including novels, novellas, short stories, and non-fiction. If you're unsure, just ask.
If you'd like to request additional inclusions in the report (sample line edits, consultations, audiobook proofing etc) please reach out to me!
For Novels >180,000 words, please contact me for a custom quote.

Thomas was thorough, professional and extremely helpful in all regards. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He gave some great feedback that was detailed, easy to understand and not at all deflating for any negative points. The feedback video that accompanied the document was brilliant and the offer of a one to one chat extremely useful.
