I am Lilith L, biomedical communicator. It’s nice to meet you! I love science, art, and character design. I combine all of these skills to tell compelling visual stories about medicine and the natural world. My goal is to use art and design to make learning science more engaging and accessible for everyone! Drawing by drawing, I hope to inspire others to rediscover the beauty of the world around them.
In my work, I combine a targeted approach with my skills as a visual storyteller to create illustrations and explainers that not only educate, and engage but leave a lasting impact.

Cooperated with a team of medical reviewers to research, design and illustrate 10 original medical illustrations for Johnson & Johnson’s asset library. Collaborated with a diverse group of stakeholders and medical reviewers in order to ensure that medical illustrations were medically accurate, appropriate for the target audience consumption, and met the needs of the asset library project at large. Employed advanced timeline management skills to strategize the ongoing progress of 3-4 illustration projects in parallel, each at various stages of completion and stakeholder review. Independently guided personal project progression and disseminated results and insights in a 10-minute talk at the 2024 AMI Salon presentation.

Collaborated with subject matter experts (SMEs) to write a script and create visual assets for an educational animation for young adults with psychosis. Conducted a needs assessment for the target audience by leading focus groups and designing and distributing quantitative surveys. Animated a 5-minute motion graphics explainer animation, which incorporated the needs assessment and SME knowledge into a final project. Strategized and completed a 1.5 year timeline for the project. Time was allotted for pre-production, animation, and post-editing, with checkpoints for project milestones.
