As a freelance CAD Designer, I provide 2D drafting, 3D modeling, and engineering analysis services for individual clients, startups, and small businesses across a range of industries. I work primarily in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, with additional experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for evaluating stress, strain, deformation, and Factor of Safety on parts and components under load. My process begins with understanding the client's actual requirements, including the function, constraints, and intended use of the design, before any modeling starts. From there, I move into detailed drafting or 3D modeling, apply simulation or analysis where the project calls for it, and deliver clean, well-documented files ready for manufacturing, further development, or client review. I work with a range of file formats depending on the client's workflow, including DWG, STEP, IGES, and PDF, along with native project files when needed. Typical work includes creating detailed 2D mechanical drawings with proper dimensioning and tolerancing, building accurate 3D models of individual parts and multi-part assemblies, and preparing engineering reports with contour plots and clear result interpretation for both technical and non-technical audiences. I place a strong emphasis on clear communication throughout each project, keeping clients updated at key stages rather than delivering a finished file with no context. Confidentiality is also a priority; project details, sketches, and specifications shared with me are always kept private, and I am open to signing NDAs when required. Since starting freelance work, I have completed projects requiring precise geometry, accurate technical documentation, and attention to real-world manufacturing constraints, not just theoretical correctness. I approach every project with the same level of care, responsiveness, and commitment to getting the design right the first time, offering revisions until the client is fully satisfied.
