À propos de moi
I am a Biomedical Science graduate currently pursuing my Master’s degree, specializing in structural bioinformatics. I offer protein modeling (Swiss-Model), molecular docking (Discovery Studio), PyMOL visualization, STRING + Cytoscape networks, NCBI/PDB analysis, gnomAD/ClinPGx variant interpretation, and Galaxy workflows. I deliver clear reports and high-quality figures ready for theses or publications. Fully remote and flexible around my studies. Message me to discuss your project.... Plus d’infos

KIU Sri Lanka

Jan 2025 - Jun 2026 • 1 yr 5 mos

Worked as a Junior Laboratory Coordinator in a university biomedical science laboratory, supporting laboratory operations, undergraduate research projects, practical sessions, and research activities. Coordinated laboratory facilities, equipment, chemicals, biological materials, research schedules, and practical preparations while maintaining laboratory safety, quality-control, and operational standards. Guided final-year research students in experimental planning and laboratory procedures and provided hands-on support in microbiology, molecular biology, and basic bioinformatics workflows. Gained practical experience in DNA extraction, PCR, primer design, agarose gel electrophoresis, microscopy, spectrophotometry, microbiological techniques, sample preparation, and laboratory data analysis. Assisted students and researchers with experimental troubleshooting, result interpretation, documentation, and scientific literature searches. Also contributed to laboratory inventory management, equipment handling and maintenance, laboratory reservations, preparation of practical examinations, SOP development, and coordination with academic and technical staff. Conducted and supported molecular research related to acute myeloid leukemia (AML), focusing on the identification and characterization of AML-associated genetic variants. Performed literature-based variant identification and sequence analysis and investigated the feasibility of a precision-based molecular genetic testing approach for AML variants in the Sri Lankan population. Worked on in-silico multiplex PCR and amplicon-enrichment strategies for potential next-generation sequencing applications, including target selection, primer design, sequence analysis, and evaluation of primer compatibility. Developed strong skills in laboratory coordination, molecular biology, bioinformatics, scientific research, data analysis, problem-solving, student supervision, and research project management.
