Legal Advisor | Gordon Services My work with Gordon Services focused on the legal issues that developed as services were sold, scheduled, performed, and ultimately billed. I worked closely with business operations when customer expectations, contractual commitments, and financial interests required a clear legal position. Before significant assignments were accepted, I examined service proposals and negotiated the terms governing scope, pricing, deadlines, access requirements, customer responsibilities, and payment. I paid particular attention to provisions dealing with additional work, delays, cancellation, warranties, and circumstances outside the company’s control. Problems arising during performance required a more fact driven approach. I handled allegations of incomplete work, property damage, service deficiencies, missed deadlines, disputed charges, and nonpayment by comparing the original agreement with work records, invoices, communications, and evidence from the job itself. The company’s relationships with subcontractors and suppliers also required legal oversight. I addressed questions concerning responsibility for workmanship, equipment, materials, confidentiality, insurance, indemnification, and recovery when another party’s failure caused Gordon Services additional expense or exposure. I supported management when matters progressed into formal claims, settlement discussions, collection efforts, or insurance disputes. By establishing clear responsibilities from the beginning and maintaining defensible records throughout each engagement, I helped Gordon Services protect revenue, respond effectively to claims, and preserve productive commercial relationships.
