I am a journalist/author who has primarily covered prisons. I am experienced in interviewing, transcribing, proofreading, and fact checking. On top of my own work, I have done these tasks for multiple prominent writers. I am the author of Bullock: Chronicles of Deprivation and Despair in an American Prison. I've written for Jacobin, Counterpunch, Alabama Political Reporter, Eunoia Review, The Brattleboro Reformer, and many other publications. I run the publication Hard Times Reviewer on Substack.
