Built an AI-powered wrist fracture detection system using the DETR (DEtection TRansformer) architecture. Collected and preprocessed 20,000+ X-ray images, refining the dataset to 9,000 high-quality samples for training. Applied data augmentation techniques to expand the dataset to 17,000 images, enhancing model generalization and robustness. Trained the DETR model for object detection and fracture localization, achieving 91% accuracy on test data. Implemented image preprocessing pipelines, including resizing, normalization, and annotation formatting for DETR compatibility. Evaluated model performance using mAP, precision, and recall, and optimized hyperparameters for improved detection accuracy.
