In today's era of minimalism, I chose to go against the trend and return to that golden age of complexity and decoration. As a highly trained craftsman designer, I have an unhealthy obsession with the plaster reliefs (Grisaille) and gilding techniques of the Rococo period. By combining linen fabric, oil-based pigments, 24K gold foil, and intricate brushstrokes, I created portrait works that combine the opulence of the court, a visual feast, and extreme craftsmanship difficulty. I reject simplicity; what I pursue is that kind of sensory stimulation that makes one gasp, like silk sliding across the skin.
